Testimonials - "What They Have to Say"

THE TOURNAMENT ORGANIZERS

We work since 3 years with Tournaments Abroad and we are very happy with them. They have sent us about 30 referees only in 2010 and we were really satisfied with those referees. You can trust them.

(Komm Mit - Organizer of 24 Tournaments annually)

First let me personally thank you for the excellent job you are doing. The idea of “Tournaments Abroad” is a great one and we were happy to have had your support concerning referees at the World Sports Festival.

(Tournaments Director of World Sports Festival  - Austria)
For us, the relationship with Tournaments Abroad has been very positive. The communication before the tournament has been very fluent and the coordination with foreign referees along the Donosti Cup 2010 has been very good.

(Donosti Cup - running for more than 20 years)
International referees: As usual we are pleased to be able to offer not only many international teams but also international referees. This year we are proud to be able to present for the first time referees from Italy. We welcome these referees and also the other referees from all the countries.

THE REFEREES

¨My experience at the Donosti Cup was unlike any other in the world. I come from Canada, where football is definitely less popular than other sports such as  hockey, baseball and others. To be be able to referee in Spain has made me love the sport even more than before. The tournament was very well organised, there was a great atmopsphere and it was exactly as I expected in terms of the quality of football. I would return in an instant. I can sum-up all my thoughts in a word: fantastic!!! ¨

(Blake Williams, Canada)
¨A week in Portugal accompanied by the sun, beach and obviously football too. The Lisboa Cup was an excellent tournament that gave me the opportunity to referee international matches and get to know referee friends from across the world. I also liked the fact that the English referees were handed the great honour of refereeing the main final, Adrian Holmes and Gordon Johnson handling it. I am sure that I will return next year - how could I not?!¨

(George Laflin, UK)

REVIEWS FROM TOURNAMENTS AND REFEREES ABOUT US!

The Tournaments Abroad website was detailed enough to convince me to participate in my first two tournament last summer (2010): Copa Cataluna and Donosti Cup. With the former, as my first experience as an international referee, I didn´t know what to expect but I felt warmly welcomed from the moment my plane landed! A great hotel and food and with referees from across Europe - I felt immediately at my ease, and we had a great deal of fun. To work together with KOMM MIT made me feel like a member of a fantastic team.

The Donosti Cup invited foreign referees for the first time in 2010, and it was a brilliant idea! The opening ceremony and the finals had a great atmosphere as they took place at the Anoeta Stadium of Real Sociedad and there aren´t words to describe the feeling created inside its walls. Summing up: the Donosti Cup: a fantastic tournament for referees to gain experience refereeing teams from across the world, besides having the finals at a fantastic stadium. Copa Cataluna: a really fun tournament with an excellent team spirit amongst the staff - I wil never forget it.¨

Mark Doy, UK

¨You don´t need many words to describe my experience at Copa Cataluna: a fantastic tournament, with fantastic people. I would recommend it to everyone!¨

¨The Donosti Cup was a fantastic experience in my life, held in the beautiful location of San Sebastian and the organisation was top-class¨

¨Denmark Football Festival: An excellent experience that also helped me grow as a referee. Fun guaranteed!¨

A.P., Italy

¨I participated in the Madrid Cup last July (2010)...without doubt, one of the best experiences of my life until now, alongside a lot of fun. It is a lesson of life where the great passion of ´refereeing´ is mixed with the desire to visit new places in the world, experience new cultures and languages, and the curiosity to understand the difference between our football and that of other countries...unforgettable..¨

D.D., Italy
